The most notable difference between the 2025 Kia Sorento and the 2025 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) is arguably their powertrains. The Kia Sorento PHEV is more efficient due to its plug-in hybrid powertrain. In fact, it can drive up to 32 miles on electric power alone.*

Power

The Kia Sorento PHEV uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and electric motor to efficiently provide up to 261 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

Cabin Space

These are both spacious midsize SUVs with three rows of seating. The Kia Sorento PHEV includes second-row captain’s chairs, giving it six-passenger seating.
